Athlon Soars On Encana Buyout; FCB Financial Clears Entry

Oil and natural gas company Encana (ECA) will pay $5.93 billion for Athlon and will assume $1.15 billion in debt. The deal boosts Encana's presence in the Permian Basin of Texas, one of the biggest new sources of oil production in the U.S. Athlon shareholders will receive $58.50 a share. That
