Jobs, Manufacturing Hurt Stocks; 3D Systems, KapStone Slide

The S&P 500 dumped 1% and the Dow Jones industrial average dropped 0.9%, as nearly a third of its components shed 1% or more. A wave of early news, on top of a busy corporate earnings schedule, put the stock market today in a selling mood at the opening bell.
