For the last two editions of the Tournament of Books, our presenting sponsor Field Notes made up a special batch of Memo Books with the ToB mascot on the cover and a checklist of the Tournament books on the inside. And for every book purchased for $3, they kicked in $3 of their own and then donated $6 to 826 National, a seven-chapter network that provides under-resourced students, ages 6-18, with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills.
In 2017, they donated over $8,600 to 826. This year it was over $10,000. Our major thanks to our readers and everybody at Field Notes for such a tremendous effort.
