Swooning and naked in its pride, the 17-song compilation album, advertised in 60-second hallucinations disguised as infomercials, was a warm vat of music that we might today refer to loosely as “new age.”

In this impressive CGI animation by Optical Arts, dishes and glasses smash apart and reform, again and again.

I believe I took a stab at “US Vows to Defeat Whoever It Is We’re At War With,” which was about the changing face of war. We didn’t, at that moment, actually know where our enemy was, which is normally pretty crucial before you can attack them.

Israel just took an important step to make it the next country to legalize recreational cannabis. If this happens, two young cannabis stocks could surge. A bill to legalize recreational cannabis in Israel passed a critical test after being approved by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation. According to The Times of Israel, this bill would […]

Before the coronavirus pandemic, one of the major market volatility driving forces was the U.S. and China trade war. Since President Trump’s election in 2016, the United States changed its foreign policy drastically, Warning of new tariffs on goods from China, Europe, and even some closer partners like Canada and Mexico.
In some cases, tariffs were imposed. In some other instances, they were the basis for ongoing negotiations, especially with China.
The markets rose and…

Starting yesterday, the Federal Reserve of the United States (Fed) began the Primary Market Corporate Credit Facility (PMCCF), through which it will directly lend to large corporations.
The facility, an emergency one, comes shortly after the Fed announced two weeks ago that it is buying the debt of individual companies on the open market.
Again, the announcement was made on a Monday, right at the start of the trading week. With this move, the Fed…

Summer trading conditions may have started, but the demand for Euros has not disappeared. The European summer months of June, July, and August are usually responsible for a decline in volatility and FX market activity.
This time so far is different, as the coronavirus pandemic affects holiday-makers, leading to fewer people taking vacations. No less than twelve out of thirteen EUR crosses had positive FX returns on a volatility adjusted analysis. In contrast, only six…

A poem for your week, by Ashanti Anderson.
This, what God feels like: laughing
alone in an empty room of tiny doors,
behind every door a metal box, inside each
a man’s red heart, lying. I don’t write
of the cartoonish thing split and jagged
at its insides. Instead, of how I break
even across the same backs spindled by hate.
I tell God I understand and what I mean is
I’ve noticed good people must die to let
there be light in my house. We share a likeness,
God and I, both laughing like something
green folded in our throats. Laughing mean-
while somebody’s auntie asks for Anything
Helps. Laughing when people say they don’t
want to read about the bad stuff. Crying
laughing as we pass our pain off as an offering
plate. Sometimes I nervous chuckle, knowing
trauma pays, but the only time I really laugh
is when I’m laughing to the bank like a-ha.
