RIP, the fascinating Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, avant garde icon and founding member of cult experimental bands Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV.
From a TMN interview with h/er in 2009:
The realization that by juxtaposing ANYTHING with any other thing one was creating a “world,” in a sense, that never existed before and probably could not “exist” in a sensory world governed by our current scientific and mathematical formulas that we utilize as “rules” despite knowing everything is constantly shifting and adjusting, in a state of flux waiting for the next, often contradictory “rule” to replace it.
